“We have banned Minister Bezalel Smotrich, four leaders of settler organizations and 21 violent settlers from our territory,” Barrot wrote on Tuesday.
Barrot justified the decision, saying Smotrich "actively advocates the annexation of the West Bank" and the colonization of the Gaza Strip.
“It is a policy that the overwhelming majority of the international community, which is determined to support the two-state solution, cannot accept,” Barrot continued.
The decision comes just weeks after Smotrich's ministerial colleague, the far-right Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, was placed under the same ban.
