During a visit to forces in northern Israel, the defense chief said on Tuesday that the country's military is "prepared to immediately resume operations in Iran."
"We fought the threats directed against us and struck Iran quickly and forcefully," he said of Sunday's and Monday's attacks between Iran and Israel, according to a statement.
The Israeli retaliatory attacks would pave the way "for a much more significant and powerful blow."
"We are prepared to return with further harsh and far-reaching attacks against Iran," Zamir said.
US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Axios on Monday that he was the one who got Israel to stop further attacks.
