Tens of thousands of Israelis are demonstrating across Israel on Saturday against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's handling of the Gaza War, report Israeli media.
Demonstrations against the Israeli government have been ongoing for months. An organisation supporting the protests estimates that more than 150,000 people took part in Saturday's protest in Tel Aviv – and calls it the largest since the start of the Gaza War, according to AFP.
"Stop the war" and "Bring them home", read the demonstrators' placards. Some have lain down on the ground drenched in red paint to symbolise "Israel's dying democracy".
They are demanding new elections and the release of hostages taken by terrorist-designated Hamas on 7 October.
On Saturday evening, another separate demonstration took place in support of the hostages, also drawing thousands of people.
