Israel has attacked targets south of Aleppo in Syria, reports the London-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR) and residents in the area.
According to SOHR, the attacks were directed against defense and research facilities in the area and describes it as "at least seven massive explosions were heard".
Since the Islamist-led rebels overthrew Bashar al-Assad's regime in December, Israel has carried out hundreds of attacks on targets on Syrian soil.
