The military said in a statement that the bodies were discovered in an area of southern Lebanon that Israel calls the "security zone."
An Israeli soldier was also injured in connection with the military's operations in the area. He was taken to hospital.
Hezbollah has not yet commented on the incident.
In late June, Israel and Lebanon signed a framework agreement to achieve long-term peace, disarm Hezbollah, and lay the groundwork for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory. Lebanon has since reported recurring Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon.
