The 13 law professors have asked Israel's Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and the military's chief prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi to initiate an investigation into an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip last month, according to Haaretz newspaper.
According to the military, seven high-ranking Hamas representatives were killed in the attack, which included about ten strikes.
According to health authorities in Hamas-ruled Gaza, over 430 people were killed in the attack, of which nearly 300 were women and children.
With this attack, Israel unilaterally broke the nearly two-month-long ceasefire with terrorist-designated Hamas. The attack occurred at night while people were sleeping, without any prior warning.
What overwhelmed the doctors was the number of children ... Just child after child, young patients after young patients, said British surgeon Sakib Rokadiya at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis to AP after the attack.
