According to Israeli media, the raids began on Saturday evening. The advance is part of an “expanded buffer zone.”
More Israeli ground forces have entered southern Lebanon in recent weeks. The Israeli military is said to have plans to deploy additional forces in the area, where the Iran-backed Hezbollah militia has a strong base.
