The civil defense in Gaza, controlled by the terror-stamped Hamas, said on Thursday afternoon that 37 people were killed during the day in Israeli attacks. The authority's representative Mohammed al-Mughayyir said that the attacks took place in locations throughout the Gaza Strip.
In the attack on the hospital in the city of Gaza, at least six people were killed, of which three are said to have worked for Palestinian news services.
Israel's military confirms the attack, but says it was aimed at a military target belonging to the Palestinian extremist group Islamic Jihad.
It is the eighth time that the hospital's facility has been attacked during the war, the healthcare staff tells al-Jazeera, and states that it was a drone attack. The activities there had resumed two weeks ago.
More than 54,600 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip during the war, according to the compilation made by the Palestinian healthcare there. Since Israel resumed the warfare on March 18 after a short ceasefire, the death toll is counted to more than 4,300.
