On pictures, smoke columns are seen rising towards the sky in the Bekaadalen near the Syrian border, after what is described as a wave of attacks.
The attacks are confirmed by Israel's military, which claims that they, among other things, attacked the Shia militia Hizbollah's training camp. According to Israel, the facility was used to plan and train for attacks against Israel, reports The Times of Israel. Also, a facility for robot manufacturing was attacked, states Israel's military, as well as a "military site" in northern Lebanon.
Since Israel and Hizbollah entered into a ceasefire in November last year, Israel has continued to bomb targets in Lebanon, mainly in the southern parts but also in the capital Beirut. Attacks in eastern and northern Lebanon are more rare.
