Israel is appealing the request from the ICC's chief prosecutor for an arrest warrant against the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The announcement from ICC prosecutor Karim Khan that he wants Netanyahu, Israel's Defense Minister, and three high-ranking leaders within the terrorist-stamped Hamas to be arrested came in May, among other things, on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
In August, Khan's office urged the court to take action "with utmost urgency". The court is still considering Khan's application for an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant.
Khan's charges against Netanyahu and Gallant include, among other things, intentionally "targeting attacks against a civilian population".
