"The date for the opening of the Rafah crossing, only for passenger traffic, will be announced at a later stage", writes the Israeli authority Cogat according to the news agency AFP.
Aid is referred to the passages between Israel and Gaza, according to Cogat. This means a big detour and extra bureaucracy for aid shipments arriving in Egypt.
The statement comes in connection with the UN's humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher visiting Rafah to push for an opening. Several UN representatives have described the route as very important for the aid flow to get started in full.
Since the ceasefire agreement, Israel has given different messages about when and how Rafah will be open.
