Four people have been killed and several injured in Israeli airstrikes in the Nabatieh district, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
According to information provided to the Lebanese newspaper L'Orient-Le Jour, a hospital in al-Fawqa has been destroyed. Patients and staff were not reportedly in the hospital building at the time of the attack, the newspaper writes.
An evacuation order was issued by Israel for a specific neighbourhood in a village in the same area.
The Israeli military justified the attacks with information that Iran-backed Hezbollah had sent drones against Israeli ground forces in the area that Israel designates as a “security zone.” No Israeli soldiers were reportedly harmed.
