The Israeli military said on Friday that a leader of a terrorist cell in Jenin had been killed. Two people were injured in the attack on a vehicle, the Jerusalem Post reports.
Israel's Shin Bet intelligence service said it had been trying to track down the suspected terrorist for a long time and chose to attack the vehicle in which he was located.
The West Bank is partially controlled by the Palestinian Authority. Recently, Israeli settlers in the West Bank have intensified attacks on Palestinian residents.
Israel has repeatedly carried out military operations in the West Bank since the war broke out with Hamas, which is labelled a terrorist organization, in Gaza after Hamas' terrorist attacks in October 2023.
