The ceasefire with Hamas, which is designated a terrorist organization, meant that the hostages returned home and that the US committed to ensuring that Hamas was disarmed. But the latter has not been fulfilled, Katz notes.
"We all understand that it will not happen - and when the order to eliminate Hamas comes, the IDF (Israeli army) is ready to finish the job so that we can also implement the migration plan," he said in a statement, according to AFP.
The “migration plan” effectively means the displacement of around two million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. However, Katz claims that it would be a voluntary relocation - it is unclear where.
Almost the entire population of Gaza is displaced within the strip of land, where most of the buildings lie in ruins after Israeli attacks.
