An attack on a building in Kfar Rumman killed 11 people, including at least two children. Additional targets in Kfar Rumman were hit in a separate attack, the ministry said, killing one rescue worker and wounding another.
The Israeli military issued an initial warning at around 2:30 a.m. Swedish time to evacuate parts of the village of Deir al-Zahrani. According to Israel, targets linked to Iran-backed Hezbollah were attacked and at least one person was killed in the attacks.
At the end of June, a US-negotiated framework agreement was signed to achieve peace between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah, but the attacks have continued.
