Israeli forces fired on two UN soldiers in Lebanon, the Israeli military said in a statement.

According to the statement, warning shots were fired at soldiers in the UN peacekeeping force Unifil after mistakenly identifying them as suspects due to adverse weather conditions, Haaretz reports.

Unifil announced earlier on Sunday that Israeli forces had fired automatic fire that hit about five meters from the soldiers in question.
