Negotiations on the second phase of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas begin on Monday. But in a first stage, only between Israel, the USA, and mediators.

It is stated by the office of Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu is traveling to Washington DC on Sunday for talks with US President Donald Trump. He will also meet Steve Witkoff, the US Middle East envoy, according to Israeli media.

"The Prime Minister spoke tonight (Saturday) with envoy Steve Witkoff. The two agreed that the negotiations on the second phase of the agreement will begin when they meet on Monday," says Netanyahu's spokesperson.

Witkoff will also talk to Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Al-Thani and Egyptian mediators during the coming week, writes The Times of Israel.

After the meetings, Netanyahu will discuss a time frame for when an Israeli delegation will be sent for talks with Hamas about the second phase of the ceasefire.
