The Iran-backed Houthi movement is taking responsibility for the attack and says it has fired two rockets towards Israel's Ben Gurion international airport in Tel Aviv.
"Following the alarms that were just heard in several regions of Israel, a rocket fired from Yemen has been neutralized", it says in a post by Israel's military on Telegram.
The Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen has repeatedly attacked Israel with rockets as a consequence of the war in Gaza. The movement's military spokesman Yahya Saree said on Sunday that they would continue to target Israel until "the siege of Gaza is lifted".
