The Council warns that international events like ESC pose a special risk of a terrorist attack or violent demonstrations, writes the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.
"Last year, 360 anti-Israeli demonstrations and protests took place in Switzerland. They will also occur during Eurovision, focusing on Israelis or the Israeli delegation", writes the Council in a statement and urges those traveling to Basel to stay away from places where "friction and demonstrations" may arise.
They also urge Israelis to download the Council's special app to stay updated.
Last year, when the competition was held in Malmö, the Council raised its travel advisory level from two to three during the time the competition took place. Israel's participation in ESC has been debated since the war in Gaza began and last year's competition was marked by protests against the country's participation.
The final in Basel takes place on May 17, but the semifinals start as early as Tuesday.
