The Israeli military states on Telegram that it has seized funds intended to finance terrorism, and that it has struck against terrorists' infrastructure.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, 10 people are being treated in hospital after "brutal beatings" and another 20 or so have been treated for minor injuries.
Defense Minister Israel Katz, according to Haaretz, said the operation was carried out to “firmly” prevent possible violence. He also claimed, according to the Times of Israel , that settler violence against Palestinians is not “terrorism” but rather a disturbance of public order.
On Wednesday, Palestinian farmers south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank were attacked by settlers, Haaretz reports. The military reportedly dispersed people with tear gas.
Violence in the West Bank has increased since Hamas's attack on Israel in October 2023, which was the starting point of the war.
