Israel's military reports that it expanded its ground offensive in southern Gaza on Saturday, according to The Times of Israel.
According to the reports, the military has entered a quarter in the city of Rafah. This is being done to try to expand a buffer zone along the Gaza Strip's border.
The military claims to have destroyed infrastructure belonging to the terrorist-stamped Hamas in the area.
Elsewhere, dozens of airstrikes have been carried out over the weekend. Israel's military says they were targeted at infrastructure belonging to Hamas and the Palestinian extremist movement Islamic Jihad.
