Following last week’s Knesset elections, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several of his allies alleged that Arab-Israeli parties had “stolen the election,” possibly with help from a foreign power.
The Election Committee launched an investigation and now says it has thoroughly reviewed all the complaints it received.
“The investigation found no evidence of irregularities that violated the integrity of the election or affected its results,” the committee said. The Shin Bet security service is also conducting a separate investigation into possible foreign interference.
Netanyahu’s coalition with several far-right parties lost its parliamentary majority. Arab-Israeli parties gained seats and could play a decisive role in upcoming government negotiations.
