This happens a day after Israel carried out attacks on military facilities belonging to the Iran-backed Shia militia.

"Just a short while ago, the air force struck a Hizbollah terrorist who was engaged in rebuilding terrorist infrastructure and leading Hizbollah's terrorist activities in southern Lebanon," the military says in a statement.

One person has been killed and one injured in an Israeli drone attack on a car in the village of Khirbet Selm, reports Lebanon's state news agency NNA, citing health authorities.

In November last year, the parties agreed on a ceasefire between Israel and Hizbollah. Both sides have accused each other of violating the agreement.
