Israel has carried out air strikes against targets in, among other places, Yemen's capital Sanaa, the Israeli military (IDF) announces via Telegram. According to the Islamist Huthi movement, more than 30 people have been killed.

The IDF claims that the attacks were directed at "military targets belonging to the Houthi terrorist regime in the areas of Sanna and al-Jawf".

The Houthi movement said on Wednesday evening that at least 35 people had been killed in the attacks, and that more than 130 people had been injured. The information came from Anees Alasbahi, spokesperson for the Houthi-controlled health authority, in a post on X.

The death toll has not been verified by independent sources.

On Sunday, the Iran-backed Houthi movement sent drones towards Israel, one of which hit Ramon Airport outside Eilat in the south. Two people were lightly injured in the incident.
