Israel issues a "final warning" to residents of Gaza City. Israeli forces have almost surrounded the city, claims Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Israel's military (IDF) is tightening the noose around Gaza City, according to Katz as reported by The Times of Israel.

"Everyone who leaves to travel south will be forced to pass through IDF's roadblocks," warns the Defense Minister in a statement.

"This is the last chance for Gaza residents who want to travel south and leave the Hamas terrorists isolated in Gaza City," he continues and states that Israel's offensive "continues with full force".

Those who stay will be seen as terrorists or supporters of terrorism, according to Katz.

Earlier on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Israeli army announced that the road stretching along the Gaza Strip's coast is closed to northbound traffic.

The ban came into effect at 11 am on Wednesday, Swedish time. With the closure, the northern Gaza Strip is blocked for people located in the southern areas.

Palestinians fleeing Gaza City to the south can still use the coastal road al-Rashid, according to the military's Arabic-speaking spokesperson Avichay Adraee.

In the meantime, Israel's deadly attacks continue. In the last 24 hours, at least 50 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, reports Al Jazeera on Wednesday afternoon, citing health authorities in Hamas-controlled Gaza.
