Military spokesman Avichay Adraee said Israel will “act with great force in light of the terrorist organization Hezbollah’s repeated violations of the ceasefire.”
Zahrani, about 40 kilometers from the Lebanon-Israel border, is a "combat zone" and all residents should head north, according to the spokesman.
The Zahrani River estuary is located north of the Litani River, which previously served as a border marker and was cited by Israel in its demand to establish a "security zone" in southern Lebanon.
On Wednesday, Israeli airstrikes were also carried out against areas near the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon.
