The statement came overnight Wednesday after Israel announced it had launched a new wave of attacks on Beirut.
Among the dead is a Red Cross employee who succumbed to injuries sustained in an attack on Monday.
According to the Israeli military, the attacks are targeting Iran-backed Hezbollah's infrastructure in the al-Dahiya area, the southern suburbs of Beirut, where Hezbollah has its traditional strongholds.
