Israel and Syria are to form a group under US supervision to share intelligence and seek military détente on the ground, according to a joint statement.
The statement, released by the US State Department after talks in Paris on Tuesday, said Syria and Israel are committed to "achieving lasting security and stability arrangements for both countries."
Since the fall of Syria's former dictator Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, Israel has carried out hundreds of attacks and raids in Syria.
