Newcastle has been on a roll for a longer period, and Alexander Isak has scored goal after goal in eight consecutive matches.
But against Bournemouth, there was a change, in a double sense.
After ten consecutive wins in all competitions, Newcastle came to a halt, and Alexander Isak left a Premier League match goalless for the first time since November 30.
And it was not even close. The Swede had trouble creating any decent opportunities, and had no help from his teammates. Instead, it was Bournemouth, and Justin Kluivert, who looked the most dangerous. The Dutchman scored a hat-trick and was behind everything in the visitors' victory.
The match ended 4–1, after Bruno Guimaraes had nodded in Newcastle's only goal in the first half and Milos Kerkez had sealed the final result in stoppage time. Thus, Alexander Isak's goal streak of eight consecutive matches was broken.
