It continues to go slowly for Alexander Isak in Liverpool. The Swede was substituted at half-time when his Liverpool crushed Eintracht Frankfurt with 5–1 in Champions League.

Alexander Isak has not got the start he wanted in his new club. In five starts, the Swedish national team striker has only made one goal.

When Liverpool led 3-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt at halftime, coach Arne Slot chose to substitute Isak. The reason was discomfort in the groin for Isak.

It was a pity, I have said it many times before, it is a difficult balance with a player who has missed three months, says Slot to TNT Sports after the match.

Now we have played him for the second time in three matches and unfortunately he had to leave the pitch, let's hope for the best.

Better went it for attacking competitor Hugo Ekitike, who initiated the goal scoring for Liverpool. The Frenchman set the 1-1 goal on a counterattack – and thereafter the goal fest was on.

Within the span of ten minutes, Liverpool made two more goals on a corner.

In the second half, Hugo Larsson's Frankfurt barely got to touch the ball initially, and when Florian Wirtz first assisted Cody Gakpo and then Dominik Szoboszlai, the victory was definitely secured.

Also, the Swedish national team midfielder Lucas Bergvall was substituted when his Tottenham played 0-0 away against Monaco.

Swedish centre-back Isak Hien played 90 minutes when his Atalanta played 0-0 against Slavia Prague.
