Isak Quiet as 15-Year-Old Monga Makes Premier League History

Jeremy Monga had to jump in at Leicester and became the second-youngest player in PL history.

Then, Alexander Isak had, minutes earlier, in the 72nd minute, stepped off. Isak scored his 20th Premier League goal for the season in the previous match, 2–1 against Brentford, but was substituted early in the second half with an injury concern.

But the 25-year-old came into play and his Newcastle had no problem taking their fourth straight win and keeping alive the hunt for a Champions League spot.

Jacob Murphy scored two goals in the first eleven minutes and former Leicester player Harvey Barnes added to the score with 3–0 after just over half an hour.

Leicester is on its way out of the Premier League with a bang and has not scored a goal in eight consecutive home matches.

In the 74th minute, 15-year-old Jeremy Monga was substituted in at Leicester and became the second-youngest player of all time in the Premier League.

Ethan Nwaneri is the youngest, as he also debuted at 15 years old in a match for Arsenal against Brentford in September 2022.
