The team went to halftime in the lead, but in the second half, Fulham turned the tables and took all three points from St. James Park.
The decisive goal was scored by Rodrigo Muniz, when he got a touch on a cross that found its way in.
Isak had his chances to score his 18th goal of the season. In the second half, he suddenly found himself completely clear in front of Bernd Leno without managing to outsmart the Fulham goalkeeper. Even closer came the 25-year-old with a quarter of an hour left, when he hit the crossbar after an elegant finish.
But when the final whistle blew, the Swede remained on zero goals for the day for the second time since November 30.
