Alexander Isak went goalless again for his Liverpool, who suffered their third consecutive loss in the Premier League. The prestige match at home against Manchester United ended 1–2.

Alexander Isak is struggling. No great success in either the national team or the club team.

In the meeting against Manchester United, the Swedish attacking star got the chance from the start in Arne Slot's eleven, but for Isak, the evening began anything but successfully.

Already after two minutes, Man United got a dream start through Bryan Mbeumo, who coolly placed the 1-0 goal.

Liverpool recovered from the shock and created several sharp chances. Cody Gakpo hit the frame twice, and Alexander Isak got a free chance to equalize – but United's goalkeeper Senne Lammens stood in the way.

It was his moment and he knows it. You expect that man to score, said former player Gary Neville in Sky Sports' broadcast about Isak's missed chance.

Isak must score. He must score, said former player Stephen Warnock in BBC's broadcast.

With twenty minutes left to play, Isak was substituted in favor of Federico Chiesa. A successful substitution, it would turn out. Five minutes later, Chiesa passed forward to Gakpo's equalizing goal for Liverpool.

Manchester United did not give up, however. In the 84th minute, Harry Maguire reached the highest on a cross and headed home three points for the away team.

Liverpool has now lost three straight matches in the Premier League and fallen to third place in the table. Man United climbs to ninth place.
