Bjerkebo is one of the sharpest players in the Swedish league. During the summer, speculation has centred around a football future somewhere other than Uppsala.
But no deal ever came to fruition. Instead, Bjerkebo extended his contract until the summer of 2030.
“I feel like I'm not done here yet and that I have more to prove with the team, so it's just fun,” he says.
Bjerkebo joined Sirius from Varberg ahead of last season.
"I've developed all parts of my game, especially defence. Then I became more of a scorer. It comes with time and with the confidence and trust you get from the leaders and the team. I've grown on all levels, I would say."
So far in this year's Allsvenskan, Isak Bjerkebo has scored 13 goals and provided five goal-scoring assists.
Sirius leads the Allsvenskan, but has suffered three straight defeats and is being chased by Hammarby and Djurgården. In its next match, on Saturday, it faces Västerås SK away.
