Isak Benjamin may receive a prize as the rookie of the year at the Denniz Pop Awards. The 21-year-old is the brother of sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg in First Aid Kit.
In the artist/band category, he is competing against star shoots Tyra Chantey and Soha.
In the international rookie category, Lujain from Kuwait, Irishman Bill Maybury, and American Ferry Townes are nominated.
The gala will be held on June 10 in Stockholm, and the jury includes, among others, Swedish House Mafia, Tove Lo, and Noonie Bao. The prize also has a producer category.
The Denniz Pop Awards were founded in 2013 to carry on the legacy of Dag "Denniz Pop" Volle. He established Cheiron Studio and produced, among other things, Ace of Base's debut album and later wrote songs and produced for, among others, Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.
