Is it the end for manager Arne Slot? Liverpool are a shadow of last season's winning machine. PSV Eindhoven came to Anfield and rubbed salt in the open wounds. It's disappointing, says Slot.

Last year's champion has suffered heavy losses in the Premier League and is already far behind leaders Arsenal. In the Champions League, things have worked better. That's why the 1-4 defeat against PSV came unexpectedly.

Ivan Perisic and Guus Til had brought PSV up 2–1 when Alexander Isak finally had to leave the substitutes' bench and replace the injured Hugo Ekitike after 61 minutes.

The Premier League's most expensive player has received his fair share of criticism and is considered by some to be the worst signing of all time in terms of the money the club spent this summer.

The international striker failed to influence the outcome of the match or improve his reputation and standing. Instead, Couhaib Driouech increased the lead to 3–1. And to 4–1. By then, the Anfield stands were already quite empty.

Arne Slot's position has been exposed for some time now and the question is how many setbacks the club management will tolerate.

We have to accept the situation we are in and fight hard. Then it would be nice if we were not hit so hard by conceding goals. That leads to the losses, I feel, and probably the players too, says Slot in Viaplay's broadcast.

Bergvall from the start

Lucas Bergvall was given confidence from the start when Tottenham took on reigning Champions League champions Paris Saint-Germain away.

It was the national team midfielder's first match after the concussion he suffered against Chelsea on November 1.

Tottenham led for a while 2-1 at Parc des Princes but PSG turned things around and won 5-3.

More national team news in tonight's matches:

Isak Hien started in an Atalanta that beat Frankfurt 2–0 away. Hugo Larsson is injured and did not play for Frankfurt.

Arsenal are pouring in

Viktor Gyökeres was also not back in Arsenal and the top match against Bayern Munich.

Nothing seems to be able to shake Arsenal at the moment. Substitute Noni Madueke (2–1) and Gabriel Martinelli (3–1) decided the game in the second half. After five rounds, Arsenal are the only club with a full pot.
