The heavy metal band Iron Maiden is asking its fans to put away their phones on the upcoming tour, writes Billboard.
"The obsession with the phone has gone so over the top that it has become unnecessarily distracting, especially for the band", writes the band's manager Rod Smallwood, who adds that it's not cool for metal legends to see a sea of mobiles and cameras.
He also writes that the band wants the fans to experience the concert on the spot in the moment, rather than on their small screens.
Iron Maiden was formed by Steve Harris in the late 1975 and is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the upcoming tour.
