Iraq to investigate attack on Kurdish prime minister’s office, Baghdad says

According to Kurdish Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, an investigation by the region's anti-terrorism unit has concluded that his office was attacked by Iranian drones.

The home of the regional security chief was also targeted in the attack. There are no reports of injuries.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the attack on X and urged "Kurdish friends" to be aware of false flag operations that "will sow division between neighbors."

The Kurdish region of Iraq is home to US forces and foreign oil companies, and has been regularly attacked by Iran and Iranian-backed groups during the war.
