Iran submitted a ten-point plan ahead of the ceasefire, which US President Donald Trump called “a good starting point for further talks.” Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has invited the countries to talks in Islamabad starting on Friday.

"Two weeks provides time to finalize and complete the deal," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

According to Iranian state media, the plan contains a number of concessions for the United States, including continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz and allowing Iran to continue enriching uranium.

According to the AP news agency, the item on enriched uranium was only included in the version of the bulleted list written in Farsi, but not in the English version.

Several media outlets report that Iran and Oman, which are on opposite sides of the Strait of Hormuz, will charge for passage.

"Iran will accept an end to the war only when the details have been finalized, provided that the ten points are accepted," the National Security Council wrote, according to state-run Press TV.

Facts: Iran's Ten Points

According to Iran, the US has agreed to the following ten points:

+ Not to repeat its “aggression” against Iran
