Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian hints that a possible ceasefire in the Middle East conflict areas could "affect the intensity" of Tehran's response to Israel's attacks on Iranian military installations.
If they (Israel) change their behavior, accept a ceasefire and stop massacring the oppressed and innocent in the region, it can affect the intensity and manner in which we implement our response, said President Pezeshkian according to the state-controlled news agency Irna.
Iran has repeatedly stated that it will avenge the Israeli attacks on targets in Iran on October 26. Israel's raids were in turn a response to massive Iranian missile attacks on Israel on October 1.
Tehran has sent messages about revenge against Israel in recent days, without hints about what it would look like. On Saturday, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatened the USA and Israel with "a crushing response".
