Salehi has previously been arrested for what the Iranian regime calls "propaganda crimes" in connection with the extensive protests in the autumn of 2022, after Mahsa Zhina Amini's death in the custody of the morality police.
Salehi was then sentenced to death, but that sentence was overturned and in December 2024 he was released.
Now he is said to have been arrested on the holiday island of Kish in the Persian Gulf and according to the one who wrote the posts, "there is no information about who arrested him, where he is being held or how he is doing". Furthermore, it is demanded that Salehi be released immediately.
According to BBC, Salehi has in recent days shared posts that have criticized Iran's warfare against Israel.
