"Given that we are at war, individuals who in any way, in word or deed, act in line with the interests of the hostile aggressor will be dealt with firmly and harshly," said the judiciary's chief representative, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, in a statement reproduced on the judiciary's news website Mizan.
Any punishment will be in line with existing laws and regulations, he added.
Iran is effectively a religious dictatorship with notorious prisons where torture, flogging and executions are practiced. On Saturday, the country was attacked by Israel and the US.
