Iran's Revolutionary Guards navy has seized two oil tankers with foreign crews in the Persian Gulf, the state-controlled Mehr news agency reports.
The ships were reportedly carrying more than one million liters of smuggled fuel. The 15 crew members have reportedly been arrested.
The raid comes amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, which has sent a large warship to the region following the Iranian regime's brutal crackdown on popular protests.
