US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that Iran wanted to start talks with the US and that he had "agreed to talk".
Ali Larijani gave a different account, writing on X that Iran "will not negotiate" with the US. He also denied reports that Iranian officials had tried to initiate talks with the Trump administration.
Iran and the US held talks about Iran's nuclear energy program in Switzerland before this weekend's attacks.
