The information comes after Iran and the United States exchanged attacks on Saturday evening.
After an Iranian missile attack on two American patrol boats, the United States responded by “permanently disabling” three Iranian oil tankers, Centcom stated on X.
This prompted the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to, according to its own statement, respond with an attack on three tankers allegedly on an “unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormuz” as well as three other vessels “in other waters.” None of the six vessels are American.
