The background is a "large number of requests" to participate, according to Army Chief Amir Hatami, quoted by the state news agency Irna.
During the US war against Iran, no US ground troops have been used, with the exception of a rescue operation in April after a downed pilot.
Hatami gave no details on how or where the hunt for American soldiers will take place.
Anyone who kills or captures and hands over an invading American military will receive a reward, Hatami said, continuing:
Brave Iranian women who do such an act will be rewarded double.
Hatami also reiterated the demand that the United States leave the Middle East.
