"It has been determined that this is not true and there are no indications whatsoever that there is any threat to the country," wrote Konstantinos Letymbiotis, spokesman for the Cypriot government, on X.
Britain has military bases in Cyprus, but John Healey does not believe they were intended targets for the alleged missiles, which he describes as part of Iran's "indiscriminate counterattacks" after the US-Israeli strikes began on Saturday.
According to the defence minister, British fighter jets operating from Cyprus and Qatar have participated in "defensive" operations in the region.
"We take down drones that threaten our bases, our people, our allies," Healey told Sky News.
