Iran warns that the country and its regional allies will confront Israel with a "devastating" war if it attacks Lebanon.
The Iranian mission in New York is behind the statement, which comes at a time when concerns have risen about a widespread war in the region since the exchange of fire between Israel and the Iran-backed Shia militia Hezbollah in Lebanon has intensified over the past month.
The rhetoric from both sides has also escalated in June.
The mission writes on X that it "assesses the Zionist regime's propaganda about attacking Lebanon as psychological warfare".
"If it engages in full-scale military aggression, a devastating war will follow. All options, including the full involvement of all resistance fronts, are on the table", the post continues.
Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah have been shelling each other almost daily since the Gaza war began following the terrorist-stamped Hamas attack on Israel in October.
Besides Hezbollah, there are other groups in the region that receive support from Iran. If a large-scale war between Hezbollah and Israel were to break out, the Shia militia could receive support from several quarters.
