After a government meeting, Khatib tells Iranian state television, without presenting any evidence, that the intelligence department has gained access to a "gold mine of strategic, operational and technical intelligence information about the Zionist regime (Israel's government)".

He claims that it is about thousands of documents and that they will be made public soon. Among other things, there are said to be documents related to the USA and Europe.

According to Khatib, Iran has obtained the material through, among other things, "infiltration".

Already on Saturday, Iranian state television reported that the country had come across large amounts of documents about Israel's nuclear weapons program.

Israel has not commented on the reports.
