At least one ship was hit by “unknown projectiles” in the Strait of Hormuz overnight, according to the British military maritime traffic watchdog UKMTO. And the state-run Iranian news agency Irib reports that two other ships caught fire after explosions while “attempting to take the dangerous southern route” through the strait. The southern Strait of Hormuz is Omani waters, while the northern part belongs to Iran.

Iran attacked US targets in Kuwait and Bahrain overnight, Iranian state media reported. The attack comes after the US carried out attacks on Iran for the tenth consecutive night.
The US attack wave against Iran ended at 3 a.m. and according to Centcom - the US regional military command - several military targets were hit.
Kuwait stated on Tuesday that infrastructure such as power plants and desalination plants were hit during Monday's attacks and that fires broke out as a result of the attacks.

Criticism in the United States
Last week, at least two American soldiers were killed in an Iranian attack on Jordan. President Trump has told media that the latest US strike was carried out “in memory” of the soldiers killed.
"Every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay many times over!" Trump writes on Truth Social, stating that the military government - from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on down - has received this directive.
The minority leader in the US Senate, Chuck Schumer, writes on X that Democrats will force a vote to end the military action against Iran.
“Every second that Trump prolongs this war is another second that our military personnel are in danger,” he writes.
